Malistar
Your warp drive thrusts you into the battlefield. Already, you're in a race against time - your enemy is still and silent, but not for long. It's a matter of seconds before you hear that terrible scream. You need to act quickly.
In this reimagining of 1983's Sinistar, you stand alone against a vast and viscous automated weapon. Your foe is quick and brutal - and only getting quicker with each encounter. Pile your resources high, and master the art of space dogfighting, and you might just stand a chance against... the Malistar.
Know Your Enemy
As you begin each mission, the Malistar is still inactive. Use this time to bolster your defences and gather bombs - your blasters alone have no chance of damaging so strong a foe.
You're in enemy territory, and most unwelcome. Gun turrets and fighter drones litter the sector, both set on ensuring you don't even make it to your target. But these, too, are vital to success: destroying them yields health pickups, and you'll need to be able to withstand as many hits as possible.
You only have a limited time before the Malistar becomes alert to your presence. Use it wisely, or abandon hope of success or survival.
The Art of Space Dogfighting
Your secret weapon is your ship's ability to phase, briefly becoming non-corporeal. This skill is vital - proper use of it will be the difference between triumph and demise. Time it carefully, and your enemies will overshoot, giving you time to turn and return fire.
Upgrades
Your enemy, the Malistar, will only become stronger and faster each time you meet it. There's only one way to turn the tide: upgrading your pokey little craft until it's the ultimate spacefighter. After each level, you'll have a choice of two upgrades, and only you can decide which is best for your playstyle.
